T-Series has today published the first trailer for the eagerly awaited Animal, following the release of a teaser a few weeks ago and many songs that showed off additional movie material. The film, which is openly labelled as adult-only and has Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and has been billed as a romantic criminal thriller. Ranbir plays a business family scion in Animal who launches an extremely violent revenge campaign when his father is attacked.
The first scene of the trailer features the characters of Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor acting out a recollection from the past. In addition to highlighting their dysfunctional relationship, this discussion demonstrates how much the main character, the hero, loves his father. Ranbir’s character begins to act out as the years pass, much to his parents’ dismay. Ranbir’s character swears vengeance and promises never to leave his family after his dad is attacked. It has the look and feel of a Punjabi rap video, similar to The Godfather.
In the second part of the trailer, Bobby Deol’s silent antagonist makes an appearance, and an all-out gang war breaks out. It’s hinted that the protagonist murders a member of Bobby’s family in order to exact revenge, putting them squarely in opposition to one another. The antagonist and the hero engage in a shirtless brawl on an airstrip as the teaser concludes.

Vanga gained notoriety for his role in the Telugu movie Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda as an alcoholic physician. Shahid Kapoor played the main character in the Hindi remake of the movie, which was directed by Kabir Singh. In addition to being huge film office successes, Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh faced criticism for elevating toxic masculinity. The trailer for Animal featured hints of Vanga’s now-famous depiction of gender dynamics, as the protagonist cautioned his girlfriend, played by Rashmika Mandanna, not to speak negatively about his father. Additionally, in the teaser, Rashmika’s character is choked by Ranbir’s character for bringing up his father’s problems.
A day before the trailer debuted, Vanga declared on social media that the picture, which runs for more than three hours and twenty minutes, has been officially rated “A” by the Central Board of picture Certification. Animal is now one of the longest mainstream Hindi films ever released, clocking in at only five minutes less than the renowned Killers of the Flower Moon directed by Martin Scorsese.
Animal and Meghna Gulzar’s period drama Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal will compete at the movie office. After Tiger 3 didn’t dominate the market as decisively as was anticipated, the box office is hoping for a comeback. Ranbir’s most recent role was in the romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkkaar, which grossed over Rs 200 crore globally despite producing costs close to that sum. Brahmastra experienced a similar fate, barely managing to recoup its rumoured Rs 400 crore budget at the box office. However, Animal is reported to have cost Rs 100 crore.
