Season three of Bridgerton is already available to view on Netflix, and the adored regal drama is getting off to an amazing (and sultry) start exploring Colin and Penelope’s romance. After watching the first four episodes, continue reading to learn more about the romantic conclusion and what it means for “Polin” moving ahead.
After hearing Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) tell his friends last season that he would never court her, Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), who has just returned from the countryside, is devastated at the start of season three. The fact that she isn’t talking to Eloise Bridgerton, played by Claudia Jessie, Penelope’s best friend who found out about her hidden identity as Lady Whistledown last season, is just making the situation worse.
Penelope believes she’s ready to find a spouse, while Eloise makes an unexpected new acquaintance with the snobby Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen). Part of her motivation for doing this is to get free from her controlling mother, her two foolish sisters, and their adoring spouses, who are obsessed with having a male heir to inherit the Featherington estate.
Above all, Pen wants to find someone who will allow her to carry on living a double life as Lady Whistledown.
Colin, however, has returned from his international trips looking more stylish and endearing than ever. Penelope and the other debutantes take note of his beautiful new look, but she stays away from him since she is still offended by his previous remarks about her.
When Colin finally confronts Pen about their connection, she tells him why she has been keeping her distance. Penelope accepts Colin’s promise to help her find a suitable husband this season as a way of making atonement. He teaches her surreptitiously, but when Eloise finds out and tells Cressida, the word of his assistance to her gets out. In order to avoid suspicion, Lady Whistledown, also known as Penelope, is forced to write about the scandal.
Penelope’s efforts to pursue Colin are rewarded when she attracts the attention of Lord Debling, a wealthy naturalist who has a fondness for animals and vegetables. They both want a stable and devoted relationship, and he is captivated to Pen’s sincere demeanor and honesty. But even if they get along well, their relationship isn’t based on genuine love.
Colin’s attempt to assist Penelope in finding a spouse backfires as he starts to feel a connection with her. He gives Penelope an innocent kiss in the garden when she asks him to be her first kiss, and it soon becomes clear how he feels. Colin begins to dream of Penelope, jealously observing from a distance while Debling pursues her.
Colin goes to the ball and stops the pair while they’re dancing after finding out that Debling is going to pop the question. He informs Penelope that Debling is not the proper man for her and that she is making a mistake. Debling thinks there could be more going on between Penelope and Colin after observing their intense exchange. His opinion is confirmed by Cressida, who has developed an interest in Debling herself.

What Happens At The End Of Bridgerton Season 3, Part One?
Debling informs Penelope at the conclusion of Bridgerton’s third season that he is unable to propose to her because of her unresolved romantic feelings for Colin. She hurries to her carriage and leaves the event, devastated that Colin botched her proposal. Colin chases after her, gets close to the carriage, and breaks through the door. Things between the two start to heat up at that point.
Colin gives Penelope an impassioned speech in which he lets all of his feelings run wild. He admits that their first kiss has captivated him, his sensations so strong they are like “torture.” Equally overwhelmed, Penelope acknowledges that she longs to be “so much more” than just pals.
Colin advises they get inside the Bridgerton home as the carriage pulls up. Then he asks, “For God’s sake, Penelope Featherington,” holding out his hand. Will you be our spouse or not? He receives a smile in return from Penelope, but the scene ends before she can respond.
Coughlan and Newton expressed their happiness that the first installment was coming to an end in an interview with Netflix’s Tudum. “We literally went back and read the script and thought, ‘Wow, that’s really good,'” Coughlan said. “That’s fantastic since you know there’s a lot more to come.”

What Will Happen Between Colin And Penelope In Part Two?
Showrunner Jess Brownell told Today.com that while the first half of the series concentrated on Colin and Penelope becoming more than just friends, “everything’s about to shift” at the conclusion of the fourth episode.
According to Brownell, the second half of the episodes—which will premiere on June 13—would be “much more tense, thrilling.”
The problem between Penelope and Colin arises mostly from Penelope’s concealment of Whistledown once they start dating, the speaker said. “And here’s Eloise’s response to the two of them coming together.”
